THE IMPACT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ON ADMINISTRATIVE PERFORMANCE
Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of customer service skills on administrative performance, highlighting the importance of effective customer interactions in administrative roles. A survey research design was chosen for its ability to collect data from a large population. Using Taro Yamane’s formula, a sample size of 360 administrative staff from a retail company in Lagos was determined. The survey instrument’s reliability coefficient score was 0.89, indicating high reliability. Findings reveal that strong customer service skills significantly enhance administrative performance by improving customer satisfaction and fostering positive interactions. The study recommends incorporating customer service training into administrative development programs to improve overall performance and customer relations.
